Congregate has no contracts or commitments. You can cancel anytime without penalty. Congregate services are billed monthly and you will receive a pro-rated refund for any month(s) you may have pre-paid for but not used.
Yes. If your current site is built in WordPress, you can use Congregate for WordPress to fully integrate public and member content. If your website is not built in WordPress, using our Members Only plan, you can keep your current public website and use Congregate’s standalone member-only website for members.
Yes. Whether self-hosted or through our WordPress hosting packages, Congregate for WordPress allows your Congregate public and member content to be integrated into a WordPress site. See our Congregate for WordPress page for details.
Congregate is not a domain name registrar and your domain name cannot be transferred to us for ownership or management. You will continue to use a third-party domain name registrar (such as Google Domains or GoDaddy) to pay your renewal fees and manage your domain name.
Congregate is a do-it-yourself platform, allowing you to use our built-in tools to populate or import content on your website. However, if you wish to have our team handle the migration of your pages, media, member data, etc. simply contact us and we’ll be happy to offer you a no-obligation quote.
After signing up for service, your Congregate site will be ready for you to access within 24 hours after payment has been made on your account. From there, it’s up to you when you wish to launch your website and take it live. You can launch with as little or as much content as you wish.
Congregate does not offer online giving. However, you can link-to or embed a giving form/widget from various online giving providers. Each provider would offer instructions on how to integrate their service into your website.
Congregate does not offer live streaming. However, you can link-to or embed a video/livestream from various streaming providers. Each provider would offer instructions on how to integrate your stream/videos into your website.
In addition to email, Congregate allows you to send group text or voice messages, and use text or voice messages for automated reminders. You must add text or voice messaging to your monthly service plan to activate these premium features.
If you wish to send more text or voice messages, you can add additional monthly message packs at any time to your account. Unused messages do not carry over to the next month.
