Messages are composed with full formatting, so an announcement can carry headings, emphasis, and links rather than arriving as a wall of plain text. You set the subject and a reply-to address, so responses go to the person who should receive them rather than to a general account nobody watches.
Messages can be scheduled for sending at a later time. That means you can compose a message now, determine its recipients, and then the day and timeframe in which it should be delivered. If you need to change something before it’s delivered, you can always edit your message and/or its recipients.
